News

Our approach to being Presbyterian churches together was once practised in England, but has long been forgotten and overlooked. Here are some recent news of how God has been planting seeds of that spiritual work again.

Presbytery Sermon

28.11.25 Our presbytery benefited from the spiritual insight and heartfelt address from Rev. Jiwon Park. He spoke to us from Matthew 25:14-30. He urged us to be good servants - those who would covenant to 'Acknowledge the Master' and 'Seek the Master's  - not our own - praise.' Rev. Park reflected on aspects of his own experiences planting a church and only seeing growth after years of labouring. He noted that in Christ's Kingdom, 'success often looks like death.'

Articles Signed

28.11.25 Representatives from eight churches gathered for a meeting of Trinity Presbytery. After a prayer of welcome, three of those churches' elders signed Articles of Association, to formally establish the work and intentions of their Churches.

Book of Order - Work Begins

28.11.25 The elders of Trinity Presbytery unanimously voted to move forwards as a presbytery that would uphold a Westminster Standards subscribing vision of presbyterianism that is shaped by the Continental Reformed rather than the Scottish approach - that is favouring wider rather than higher courts, and taking careful steps to maintain parity of elders, who are entrusted with the keys of the kingdom in their local church sessions. Having joyfully affirmed the principles of this spiritual work, a committee was appointed to begin work on a Book of Order to strengthen our churches and facilitate developing the work.
